Incentive scheme rules, OK! ...........

06 Jun 2011

Improve your performance, and win a prize!

I'm happy to announce that there will be 2 incentive schemes running this year - please see details below.

1. The Barry Bonus.

Our President, Barry Golding, has generously offered to give rewards to players in our League teams who take 5 wickets or who score 50 or 100 runs in a match. Awards of £5, £5 and £10 respectively per occurrence will be handed over at the Awards Evening, but there are certain restrictions. First, this only applies to League matches in 2011. Second, and more importantly, Barry has stipulated that these amounts will only be available to those members who have already paid their Subscriptions and are not in arrears with their match fees.

2. The Sponsors' Incentive Scheme.

This scheme will be available for all members in both friendly and League cricket. In any match, if you beat your personal batting average from last year by 5 runs or more, or better your bowling economy rate by 0.5 runs per over, you will accrue points. These will be added to points for catches, run outs, wickets taken, stumpings and simply for turning up, to add up to a score for each participant per match. There will be prizes for most points scored in April+May, June, July and August+September, and a grand award for the total points in the season. I hope to get business sponsors to donate money gifts or vouchers of £20, £10 and £5 each month, with something more at the Awards Night. As the season develops, we will possibly have monthly presentation events, hopefully with sponsors and the papers present. But similar rules will apply as for the previous scheme - paid up members only will be eligible.
