As a player, former player or supporter of Parkfield & Headstone CC, presumably you want the club to continue being able to provide facilities for people to play cricket under its own banner. To do this, the committee is constantly trying to find ways of raising enough money to buy equipment, kit, and other essentials.
One of our main and continuing ways of raising funds is through the 125 Club, which gives participants three chances of winning a cash prize each month. At the moment we pay out around £650 every year! Random numbers are drawn electronically, early each month and the results are posted on the club website. The remainder of income benefits the club finances, and helps to keep playing costs down.
But it is disappointing to note that very few of our members and supporters take part in this initiative - less than 25 current club members have numbers in the draw, many of them have multiple entries, and several are no longer actively involved! Friends and relatives make up the remainder of the participants, bringing the total to just over 100 numbers in the draw each month.
At just £1 per month, there is no excuse for not joining in - not only for the good of the club, but also for the chance of winning a prize! To make it as painless as possible, you can set up a Standing Order for your bank to pay automatically to the club each month, and as a further incentive, those who do this will be entered into a special Bonus 13th draw in December.
Membership of the 125 Club is open to family and friends too, and numbers are unlimited, so please get your nearest and dearest to support our cricket club too! Download the mandate form for each person joining, fill in personal and bank details, sign and return the whole form to a committee member or send it directly to Gerry Bloomfield. We will inform your bank and enter you in the next available draw.
