Hope you are all well- in these challenging times at all levels.
I held off sharing an update until the last moment this month.
My suggestion to the committee to use this 'down' period to redecorate the club house/cricket facilities areas atleast- as it has been well used by the community over the past few years, am hoping to receive some direction from the Parkfield Sports Club main committee, if they need our help in any shape or form.
No of us know when we will get back to some normality but we need to be ready for when it happens-
There are guidelines out there for using practice nets- unfortunately we were not able to use the outdoor nets or indoor.
The Saracens League are currently still intending to start July 11th.
Even if the League start in July, we will have to have appropriate plans in place - participants coming changed/ bringing your own teas etc etc / social distancing - plus other important actions/provisions. All this for a non contact sport.
We hope you will all keep in touch- new members particularly - and encourage all captains and vice captains keep contact with their team mates motivated and optimistic.....most importantly, STAY SAFE!
Re Membership fees- we will advise once it is established if we are having a half/quarter or no season this year. Like other organizations we still have outgoings and no incomings.
