Cricket season 2015 analysis:

According to first team captain Ali Khan:

"Last year was a great year for Parkfield and Headstone CC. The club greeted 10 new players which made a big difference on and off the field. The first XI had a fantastic season with 15 wins out off 17 games.

There were many strong performances across the year from various players. The old veterans of the game Jitu Vadera and Waseem Saber showed the way with important runs, wickets and also guiding the younger players with advice and support.

The younger players have a very high skill set, energy and exuberance which always makes us a challenging team but also able to have a laugh.

In 2015 the first XI had 11 potential match winners who could all bat and bowl; which is sometimes difficult as a Captain. The team showed great unity and gelled together very quickly.

The first XI will strive to achieve success in 2016 and hopefully push for a place in Division 4 next year."

Tee Malik, captain of the second XI added:

"The 2014 season was a difficult one for the Parkfield & Headstone second XI, with each week proving to be a struggle just to field a team; let alone winning matches.

However, 2015 was a landmark turnaround for the club. With strong leadership and a core squad of players that developed together as a team, not just a group of individuals.

There was a marked improvement in every department, which led to the 2nd XI narrowly missing out on top spot in the league.

It was a season to be proud of, and with this continued momentum and enthusiasm, we can go one better next year."
